After Nirmala, it's turn of Amit Shah now in Telangana
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Sep 2022 3:53 AM GMTIt is now clear that the Bharatiya Janata Party is on a mission mode in Telangana. It is now on the offensive and is setting the political agenda that even the ruling TRS is forced to follow. Close on the heels of the visit by Union Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, Union Home Minister and BJP strongman Amit Shah is all set to visit Telangana.
Not just that. He is going to stay in Hyderabad for two days. He would queer the pitch for the ruling TRS by participating in the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations. This would be an official programme of the Central Government. He would reach Hyderabad on September 16 and meet key BJP leaders in the state. He would also review the party's position and programmes. On 17, the official programme would be held.
Recently, Nirmala Sitharaman created quite a stir by making a district collector give out factual data about how much money the Centre was paying to sustain the Rs 1-a-kg rice scheme. The state government could not refute these statistics. Now, Amit Shah might use his visit to expose the ruling TRS on some other key issue, say the BJP sources.
Since the Hyderabad Liberation Day programme is an official programme, the chief minister of Maharashtra and Karnataka Eknath Shinde and Basavaraj Bommai respectively would attend the meeting. It is now becoming increasingly clear that the BJP wants to hit the iron when it is hot. It wants to further weaken the TRS in the state.
