After Rayalaseema, BJP plans North Andhra tour
X
Emboldeed by the positive response to the Praja Agraha Sabha in Vijayawada and the public meeting in Kurnool, the Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh is now planning to conduct a tour of the North Andhra districts. It is also planning to cover every assembly constituency and raise several local issues. National level leaders would visit the North Andhra region as part of the programme.

The BJP has recently conducted a five day tour of Rayalaseema. They raised several issues relating to Rayalaseema. They met the general public and influencers. The Kurnool meet focused on the failures of the YSRCP government. The same system would be put in place for the North Andhra tour. A public meeting would be held at Vizag.

If BJP sources are to be believed, the party is likely to demand the speedy completion of the irrigation projects in North Andhra. The BJP strongly feels that the YSRCP has completely ignored the irrigation and agriculture in North Andhra. It feels this neglect is the chief cause of the massive out migration of labourers from North Andhra.

A team would be constituted under the leadership of state president Somu Veerraju. The BJP has some presence in Vizag city. The party has some base in Vizag urban and wants to extend its reach to the remaining areas. Will the BjP be able to make a mark in the North Andhra region.
