Indian ace-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is in wonderful form. Ashwin, who has contributed to the team with the ball has contributed to the team with his valuable runs by scoring his fifth century.

Ravichandran Ashwin's century steered India to a good lead against the England team. India is leading by 481 runs in the second innings. Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj are on the crease now.

India had a rough time in the second innings. First innings hero Hit Man Rohit Sharma lost his wicket after scoring 27. Shubman Gill(14), Cheteshwara Pujara(7), Rishabh Pant(8), Ajinkya Rahane(10) lost their wickets.

Ashwin has cemented the Indian innings with the skipper Virat Kohli, who scored a half-century. The skipper returned to the pavilion after scoring 62, including seven fours.

Ashwin became the second Indian player to score 1,000 plus runs and pick 100 plus wickets against the English team across formats. Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev was the first to achieve the record.

Kapil Dev has scored 1804 runs and took 113 wickets against the England team in 50 matches, while Ashwin has scored 1090 runs and took 106 wickets in 45 matches so far.

In the first innings, Rohit Sharma has made several records with his innings. Now it's the ace-spinner's turn to make multiple records under his name.
