After YS Jagan, Dy CM comments on Tollywood issue
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Jan 2022 11:11 AM GMTThe government of Andhra Pradesh is going really hard on the Telugu film industry and the situation is pretty tricky now. The YS Jagan-led government has been making it a point to impose restrictions on the cinema ticket pricing system at cinema halls across the state.
The other day, the chief minister YS Jagan stated "We are trying to impose restrictions on cinema ticket pricing in order to keep the ticket prices more accessible for the poorer section of the audience. A few people are trying to infuse a political angle into this. We are restricting the ticket prices only for the common public."
Today, AP deputy chief minister Narayana Swamy made a very interesting comment about Tollywood.
"People say there is a family rule system in politics. But in reality, the film industry is the one that is rattled by family rule. There are too many big families that are feasting on the industry." Narayana Swamy stated.
"Jagan did this to make entertainment affordable for all. But some Tollywood heroes are opposing this and criticizing Jagan. Shall we call such people heroes?" He added.
It is very much evident that the deputy chief minister is taking a sly dig at the Mega, Akkineni, and Nandamuri families in Tollywood.
