Weeks ahead of his retirement from Andhra Pradesh's State Election Commissioner(SEC) post, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is facing back-to-back hammer blows from the Andhra Pradesh government.

As a fresh jolt to Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Privileges Committee served notices to SEC. The Committee has decided to serve notices to him after chairing a meeting.

The fresh development took place after the Committee looked at the complaints raised by AP Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Taking his complaint into consideration, the Committee served notices to SEC.

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Secretary has written to Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar asking to appear before the Privileges Committee in connection with the Minister's complaint against the SEC.

Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy moved the privileged committee against Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who ordered his house arrest before the Local Body Polls after he allegedly made controversial remarks. However, the High Court quashed the orders.

Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar received notices, who had earlier planned to go on a cleave from 19-22 of this month. It is interesting to know, how Nimmagadda responds to the notices. Nimmgadda Ramesh Kumar will retire on March 31st.
