India is all set to welcome the festive season, which starts with Holi, followed by Shab-e-Barat, Navaratri, and other festivals which are celebrated by several states in the country.

Following this, the Traffic Department wing of the national capital Delhi came up with restrictions for the public. On the lines of the government, the Police issues guidelines for gatherings.

The Department said people who violate the orders issued will not be spared. People should not gather for the festivals and special focus will be kept on possible traffic rules violations.

The driving license will be seized if anyone is caught in drunken driving and other traffic violations like signal jumping, cellphone driving, rash driving, and overspeeding. The license suspension will be for not less than three months.

To counter the traffic violations, traffic personnel will be deployed in large numbers. Motorists trying to perform stunts will also be not spared. They would be prosecuted as per law.

"Action shall also be initiated against the registered owners of vehicles whose vehicles are found to be driven by minors/unauthorized persons, performing stunts, driving without license, etc," Traffic Police said in the statement.
