AIADMK Merger delayed for CM Post

On Friday evening, Merger of O Panneerselvam and CM E Palaniswami Camps looked imminent after the Ruling Party MLAs paid tributes to Jayalalithaa at her memorial on the Marina Beach. However, The Merger was kept on hold after few Leaders in the rebel camp demanded Chief Minister post for O Panneerselvam citing he served as CM Thrice.
However, E Palanisamy agreed to offer Deputy CM Post to Panneerselvam and few other big portfolios to his faction. Though OPS Camp demanded Home and Finance Portfolios, CM Palaniswami is reluctant to offer Home Ministry post. Instead, He offered PWD Portfolio.
At around 9 PM, OPS Camp declared merger isn't happening on Friday as few matters are yet to be settled.
If merger materializes, A Steering Committee comprising of Panneerselvam, Palaniswamy and E Madhusudhanan will be taking care of party affairs.
Meanwhile, TTV Dhinakaram held meeting with few AIADMK MLAs at a hotel in Royapettah Yesterday.
