AIKSCC to hold farmer protests in Hyderabad

The farmers who have been protesting against the controversial agriculture bills got a big relief with the Union government announcing the repeal of the three bills. However, the farmers said that the protests will not be stopped until their demands are fulfilled by the central government. The protests are going on at the Delhi border.
The protests called against the agriculture bills are nearing one year. To mark the occasion, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) had decided to go for the protests across the nation to put pressure on the Centre on their demands. All the farmer unions have also extended their support for the protests.
It has been widely reported that the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait and several others would participate in the protests that would be carried out in Telangana. An iconic spot in the state was picked for the protests in Telangana.
As part of the nationwide protests of the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), a Maha Dharna would be held at the Dharna Chowk on Thursday, November 25th. Arrangements were being made for the same by the farmer leaders.
The farmer's protests are being held by the farmer leaders with demands that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the crops should be guaranteed by bringing a law to support it, while they also demand the withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill. Besides the two demands, the farmers are also demanding the Union government to withdraw the cases filed against the farmers during the protests and the farmer martyrs should be accorded justice.
It has to be mentioned that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) is also locking horns with the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Centre on various issues. Not happy with the Centre refusing to procure paddy, TRS said it is opposing the three agriculture bills and also demanded the Center to remove the meters for the motors used by the farmers in their fields.
Farmers'Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 are the three bills that were repealed by the Centre recently.
