As the first batch of the consignment of the 36 Rafale Jets from the French aerospace major Dassault Aviation, five Rafale Jets landed on Indian Air Force's airbase in Ambala.

To reach the Indian airbase, the firefighters traveled around 7,000 km. The multi-role combat jets were escorted by two Su-30MKIs.

Marking the arrival of the firefighters, Section 144 was imposed in the villages that fall under the Indian Air Force in Ambala. People were restricted from gathering and taking pictures too.

Let's know about the Indian Air Force officer who played a pivotal role in bringing the Rafale Jets safely to India.

Air Commodore Hilal Ahmed Rather is the one who made this happen. Not only this, he even monitored the changes in the accessories that were made to the Rafale Jets so that they can meet the Indian conditions.

The Air Commodore who hails from the Anantnag region of Kashmir has been rendering his services as the Air Attache in France from the past four years. He initially started his career in the Police department and joined IAF and even operated Mirage 2000, Mig 21, and Kiran.

People in Jammu and Kashmir are feeling proud of the man who carried out a huge task with ease.
