Heroine's Father kidnapped & killed by Terror Outfit

Bollywood Actress Nimrat Kaur opened up about her personal life during the promotional interviews of her upcoming flick 'Airlift' starring Akshay Kumar.
Nimrat Kaur's Father was a young army major and also an engineer posted in Verinag, a valley which comes between Srinagar and Jammu. In January 1994, He was kidnapped by Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and killed him brutally after 7 days as their demands to free some of their members were turned down. Nimrat's Father aged 44 years then and the family flown to Delhi along with his body. It was only after reaching Delhi, The actress was able to see her dad for the first.
The tragedy happened when Nimrat Kaur's Family was on a winter vacation in Patiala. Her father used to visit them whenever he was off the duty.
'Airlift' is based on the true story of evacuation of Indians from Kuwait in 1990.
