Want to know about the Indian James Bond, then its time to read some interesting facts about the Spy-turned-Deplomat Ajit Doval.

Soon after taking charge as PM, Narendra Modi appointed retired IPS Officer Ajit Doval as India's National Security Advisor. This development alone speaks volumes about the calibre of Mr.Doval.

Ajit Doval was born in a Brahmin Family in 1945. He is the son of a Army Man and became IPS in the year 1968. He has put an end to intrusions in Mizoram and Punjab. Particularly, His role in Operation Blue Star of Punjab Golden Temple deserves a special mention. Soon after Terrorists entered the temple, Ajit Doval disguised as a rickshaw puller and convinced the terrorists that he has come to help them. He advised Government to cut water and electricity to the temple instead of planning an attack as lives of 200 people will be in danger. 9 days later, Terrorists has surrendered.

Ajit Doval worked as undercover in Pakistan for 7 years. He recruited agents in Kashmir to collect necessary information. He played crucial rolein merger of Sikkim with India and bringing the Indian nurses safely from from Iraq. He is one of the members who hold talks with terrorists who operated Kandahar Plane Hijack. He is instrumental in the release of captives of 15 hijacks between 1971 and 1999. Even the recent surgical attacks on Pakistan were planned by him and he was the first person to inform PM Modi that the operation was a success. Mr.Doval is the only IPS to be honoured with Keerthy Chakra. Usually, Army Personnel receive such an award but this man earned it. Hats off to India's 007!!
