One Nephew Got It, But The Other Nephew Failed

Here's one lesson that Harish Rao can learn from another famous political nephew. Yes. He can learn a lesson or two from NCP Chief Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar. Despite rebelling against Sharad Pawar and joining hands with the BJP to form the 86-hour government in Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar showed that he is indispensable for the party and that Sharad Pawar cannot ignore him.
It now emerges that Sharad Pawar has decided to give deputy CM post to Ajit. He will be sworn in on Monday. Not just that! He would also get the key Home portfolio. This means that he is rewarded for coming back. Sharad Pawar found himself unable to ignore hugely popular Ajit and though Ajit was not made a minister during the swearing-in of Uddhav Thackeray, he will now be made the deputy chief minister. While on the one hand the power will stay with the Pawars. On the other hand, there is no fear of rebellion.
This could be one good lesson for Harish Rao. Though he too is hugely popular and keeps on winning his seat with ever rising margins, he has not been able to build the kind of clout that Ajit Pawar has. Hence, Ajit Pawar is Ajit Pawar and Harish Rao is Harish Rao.
