Another Son Rises In Another Small Party

Like all dynastic parties, even Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen too is planning succession. Though he has been discharged from a London hospital, Chandrayanagutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi has begun planning for his successor. He has almost announced that his son Nooruddin Owaisi is going to be his heir.
Addressing a meeting to mark the inauguration of a junior college belonging to his family trust, he said his son Noor would take care of the administration of the college after him. This is a virtual announcement that his son would be his political heir. He said his son has served him very well during his hospitalisation and took care of everything from administering medicines to talking to the doctors.
Nooruddin is a doctor and has till now remained behind the curtains. Akbaruddin has a daughter, who is pursuing education in the UK. MIM has always been a family party. Asaduddin's grand father Abdul Wahed took reins of the party after the liberation of Hyderabad. After this, son Salahuddin Owaisi took over. After his death, Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi are leading the party.
