Going into detail, Akhil who is pursuing his studies at Edin Burg University in England came to Hyderabad and got infected with the fatal virus and admitted to the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.
Upon recovering from the dreaded virus he donated plasma which makes him the very first plasma senator in the state. The plasma donated by the recovered patients of the virus produces antibodies that are believed to decrease the spread of the virus.
