Labour Minister Danam Nagender put the proposal of naming Annapurna Studio road after legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and also install his statue in Film Nagar before Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Standing Committee.
Danam on Thursday laid foundation stone to a new road between Banjara Hills Road No.2 to Annapurna Studio to Jubilee Hills Road No.5 (Krishna Nagar junction). The estimated cost for this new line is Rs 7.2 crore and it is intended to reduce the traffic between Jubilee Hills-Srinagar Colony.
Naming the road after ANR is a rich tribute to Iconic Actor of Telugu Cinema. Akkinenis will have no words to describe their happiness if this proposal turns true
