Ali To Contest From This Assembly Segment

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu decided to allot Guntur East Ticket for a Muslim. Comedian Ali could be fielded as Candidate in this Assembly Constituency.
In 2014 Election, TDP Candidate Maddali Giridhar was defeated by YSR Congress Candidate Shaik Mohammad Mustafa.
During the felicitation ceremony on Saturday, CM Chandrababu Naidu promised to support Ali if he forays into active politics. He is contemplating on fielded the Comedian in Guntur East Segment. An official announcement could be made post the Guntur Parliament Constituency meeting on Monday or Tuesday.
TDP hasn't won Guntur East Seat since 2004. Minorities can influence the results in this particular constituency. That is why TDP Leadership is keen to make Ali contest from here. It's not going to be a cakewalk for Ali as YCP will also field a Muslim Leader in this constituency.
