All Cars Must Have These Features From 2019
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Oct 2017 9:11 AM GMTAs per the new proposal of Ministry of Road and Transport, All Cars manufactured in India after July 1st, 2019 must be equipped with features such as Airbags, Speed Monitoring System, Seatbelt Reminders, Reverse Parking Sensor and a manual override over the Central Locking System. Most of these safety features were only found in the top-end variant as of now. Within a couple of years, Even the low-end variant should be equipped with such features. An official announcement is expected in this regard anytime soon.
Parking Sensors will alert the driver if there is any object close to the car while reversing.
Speed Monitoring System will alert the driver when the speed of the vehicle is high. An audio-alert can be heard when the speed touches 80 kmph. The alert will be even louder if speed reached 100 kmph. A non-stop beep sound can be heard if the speed is beyond 120 kmph.
Over-Speeding is the reason behind 74,000 out of 1.51 lakh deaths in road accidents which happened in 2016. The new safety features could reduce the damage to some extent.
