All India Muslim Personal Law Board to File a Review Petition on Ayodhya Verdict

In an interesting turn of events, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has said that it will file a petition to seek review of the Supreme Courtâs order in the much-disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case. The petition will be filed next month.
The AIMPLB took to Twitter to share the same news."Exercising our constitutional right, we are going to file a review petition in the Babri masjid case during the first week of December," read the tweet.
The board even said that they will not affect legally by the decision of Sunni Waqf Board of not pursuing the case. "All Muslim organisations are on the same page," said the board.
Sunni Central Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh said that it will not file a review petition challenging the verdict of the apex court on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case. The Board is also yet to decide on whether to accept the five-acre alternative land for the construction of the mosque or not.
"There was no discussion about the land which will be offered by the government. When the land will be offered, then a meeting of the board will commence about it," Sunni Waqf Board member Abdul Razzaq Khan said.
The five-judge Supreme Court bench headed by the former CJI Ranjan Gogoi delivered verdict in favour of Ram Lalla and said the disputed 2.7 acres of land should be handed over to the trust, which will be formed by the government to oversee the Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya.
In addition to that, the apex court also said that an alternate five acres of land in Ayodhya should be allotted for mosque construction.
