'All is well' Between Governor, Chief Minister?
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Oct 2020 3:59 AM GMTHave the relations between Governor Tamilisai Saundararajan and Chief Minister KCR improved of late? For several months, their relations were icy cold and their interactions bare minimum. But, on Friday, there was an unusual bonhomie among the two stalwarts. KCR greeted the Governor couple, while Tamilisai reciprocated with a statement indirectly slamming the Congress Party.
The other day, the Congress leaders came in large numbers and tried to meet the governor. Though they said they would submit a memorandum against the TRS government, their real aim was a photo-op and some media coverage. The Governor flatly refused to meet them and asked them to submit their memorandum through e-mail. The Congress leaders made a hue and cry and slammed her in the media before leaving the place.
But, Governor stood her ground and said that Raj Bhavan was no place for political drama. She said she would not allow the hallowed house to be reduced to a political theatre. She said inview of the Covid protocol, she was not accepting any memorandum in person. She was only accepting them through e-mail. She said she wanted the Congress leaders to do the same. 'however, the Congress leaders insisted on meeting me personally, to which I refused,' she clarified.
