Alliance with TDP unfruitful, BJP now eyes YSRC!

Seems like the Grand Alliance (TDP-BJP-Jana Sena-Lok Satta) mayn't be a reality as both TDP and BJP haven't been able to come to a logical conclusion when it comes to seat sharing.

In Telangana, BJP demands 10 Lok Sabha seats out of 17 and 60 Assembly seats out of 119 seats.

In Seemandhra, BJP demands 4 Lok Sabha seats out of 25 and 20 Assembly seats out of 175 seats.

The main trouble is over few Lok Sabha seats including Malkajgiri, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada where leaders of both the parties were keen to contest. While BJP leaders claim they can win seats contesting alone because of Modi wave and alliance with TDP would spoil their chances in Telangana, TDP leaders accuse BJP of impractical and the National party can't win seats on its own.

Pawan Kalyan who met Narendra Modi last week made it clear that his party will support his leadership and BJP, but not ready for an alliance with a regional party like TDP.

As YSR Congress has already send the indications that it is open to form alliance with any party in the best interest of development of state, BJP is keen on alliance with YSR Congress which could hardly create any impact in Telangana. If the deal materializes, BJP could demand more seats than what it is expecting from TDP in Telangana and could also bag few seats in Seemandhra.
