Amaravati Land Scam: CID slaps notices to Chandrababu, Directs To Appear before them!

The previous Telugu Desam Party(TDP) government opting Amaravati region as the capital after the state bifurcation has raised many questions and he is even accused of acquiring more lands than required.
The YSRCP government had focused on the alleged land scam dubbed as Amaravati Land Scam by the media and handed over the case to Crime Investigation Department (CID) for a detailed investigation.
The CID which is probing into the case is said to have slapped notices to TDP chief, former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in this regard and directed him to appear before them.
An FIR has been registered against Chandrababu Naidu on the grounds of several procedural irregularities pertaining to the decide the capital city in the Amaravati region. There are also allegations that different people purchased hundreds of acres of assigned land after the capital announcement was made.
According to the media reports, a case has been registered under Section 120 B (conspiracy) and Sections 166, 167, and 217 of the IPC and the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
It has to be noted that, the alleged Amaravati scam became the much-talked-about issue in the country after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) named the daughters of Supreme Court Judge in the FIR.
