Amaravati Row: Big Shock To AP Govt In Supreme Court!
X
The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not ready to compromise on the three capitals proposal. Despite the High Court of Andhra Pradesh giving the verdict in favour of Amaravati, the state government is not satisfied and wants to challenge the same in the Supreme Court.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government moved the court challenging the High Court's orders and the Apex Court gave a date for a hearing. However, the government filed another petition seeking a hearing of the petition at the earliest.

The Andhra Pradesh government faced a hammer blow as the Supreme Court refused to prepone the hearing. The bench said that the petition will be heard on March 28 as mentioned earlier and refused the petition to push the date ahead. The requests made by the lawyers were also refused.

The bench led by KM Joseph said that the case will be heard on the 28th. The requests of lawyers to hear the petition on 28 and 29 as well were also canceled. The Supreme Court said that the cases in which notices were given cannot be heard on Wednesday and Thursday citing the CJI circular and said that CJI will take a call on this.

In a span of three days, the Andhra Pradesh government filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The YCP is pitching Vizag as the capital city. Earlier, CM Jagan invited the investors and industrialists to come to Vizag as he is moving there.

Moreover, the Andhra Pradesh government is hosting the Global Investors Summit in the shore city of Vizag. The two-day summit will be held on the third and fourth of March which is tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

Earlier reports emerged which say that the ruling YSRCP wants to start functioning from the shore city Vizag. If everything goes well as per the planning, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy might start administration from there from Ugadi. Before that, the government allegedly wants to clear the law issues in the capital row. But the Supreme Court said it will hear the petition on the 28th of this month.
