AMB Box Office report: Mahesh BIL scores another flop!
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Dec 2013 8:37 PM GMTSudheer Babu needs to focus on content-based and low-budget films like 'Prema Katha Chitram' for long standing career. If he tries to do what oither mainstream heroes of Tollywood do, Sudheer has to get ready to taste more number of flops and that's what happened with his recent flick 'Aadu Magadra Bujji'.
'Aadu Magadra Bujji' was made with a budget of Rs 7 crore and it has done Rs 11 crore pre-release business (due to PKC success). The film, however, raked in a share of just Rs 1.86 crore (2 days-Saturday release) by the end of its first weekend run. Due to the negative talk the film mayn't collect a share of more than Rs 6 crore by the end of its total run.
'Prema Katha Chitram' was made with a budget of less than Rs 2 crore and it collected a whooping Rs 15 crore at the Box Office. If 'Aadu Magadra Bujji' was made with around Rs 3-4 crore, it would also have been a decent success. Sudheer failed to understand his logic and his market range. As a result, one more flop in his short career!
Aadu Magadra Bujji First Week Collections (share):
Nizam - Rs 0.80 crore; Ceded - Rs 0.21 crore; Krishna - Rs 0.09 crore; East - Rs 0.10 crore; West - Rs 0.09 crore; Guntur - Rs 0.13 crore; Nellore - Rs 0.06 crore; Vizag - Rs 0.15 crore.
Total 1st weekend AP Collection (share): Rs 1.63 crore.
Total 1st week WW Collection (share) : Rs 1.86 crore (Karanataka + ROI - Rs 0.20 lakhs; Overseas - Rs 0.03 lakhs).
