Mukesh Ambani launched his children Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani as the future his business empire while making a crucial announcement on Reliance Jio. He lauded the passion and hard work put in by the Twins for building the Jio brand. 'Jio is a creation of the youngsters. Akash and Isha are directors of Jio,' he told.

Akash graduated at Brown University. Isha, on the other hand, attained double majors in Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale University. She even worked as business analyst at McKinsey. The 24-Year-Old Twins were appointed as Directors of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail Ventures two years ago.

Subscribers of Reliance Jio can have free access to the services from September 5th to December 31st, 2016. The company plans to take over a major share in telecom market with low cost smartphones, date & voice plans for nominal prices and student discounts. Reliance is working towards reaching out to 90% of the rural areas in the country by 2017. 1 GB data would be provided for Rs 50, No blockage of messages or Extra Charge during Festivals, 300 live channels, 6,000 films, 60,000 music videos, 28 lakh caller tunes and many other offers were announced. Reliance is working towards 5G and 6G as well.

Reliance Jio have about 15,000 employees, hundreds of consultants and service providers. Not many knew, The logo of Jio is actually a reflection of mirror image of the word 'oil', which symbolizes the journey of Reliance from oil mining to telecom. Reliance Jio had a huge impact on its competitors Airtel, Idea and Vodafone. Airtel and Idea lost Rs 12,000 crore & Rs 2,800 crore market cap respectively after Mukesh Ambani's 45 minute speech. While Airtel lost 6.30 percent equity to come down to 310.75, Idea declined by 9.58 percent to reach Rs 84.50. Airtel & Idea remained as biggest losers on Thursday. By the end of the day, The combined loss stands at Rs 11,983 crore.
