Amid Halal-Jhatka Issue,Muslim Vendor allegedly attacked

The BJP-ruled Karnataka has been in the news for all the wrong reasons for the past few weeks. The infamous Hijab issue made the whole country look at the southern state. While the Hijab issue looks settled, another issue is rocking the state, triggering protests.
The state is seeing many protests over Halal and Jhatka meat. Many Hindu outfits have raised a new demand that Halal meat( Islam way of killing animals) should be boycotted and Jhatka( Hindu way of killing animals) should be increased. The groups said that for the Hindu festivals, Jhatka meat should be consumed.
A few Muslim groups have objected to this and alleged a big conspiracy behind this. Amid the Halal and Jhatka, a Muslim meat vendor was allegedly attacked by the members of the Bajrangdal members reportedly.
Media reports say that an FIR has been filed by the cops in connection with the case and further investigation is underway.
The alleged issue is said to have happened when a few Bajrang Dal activists had spotted a Muslim vendor selling Halal meat. The activists landed in a big argument with the vendor. After things turned violent, the activists reportedly attacked a vendor. The tense situation reportedly erupted over the Halal meat.
