The ongoing protests against the union government's decision to privatise Vizag Steel Plant are getting intensified with each day passing. The politicians are also joining the protests called by the trade unions.

Union Minister for Steel Dharmendra Pradhan's reply to Vijayasai Reddy's question that South Korean steel manufacturer POSCO has signed MoU with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) added fuel to the protests.

Amid protests in shore city Vizag, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam. He will visit the city on the 17th of this month, reports claimed.

It is said that Jagan is going to visit the city to take part in the anniversary celebrations of the Sri Sarada Peetham at Chinnamushidiwada. Sarada Peetham seer Swaroopananendra Saraswathi Swami has invited Jagan for the anniversary celebrations.

CM Jagan has earlier participated in anniversary celebrations of the peetham in 2020. As part of the celebrations, he took part in Srinivasa Chaturveda Havanam and offered special prayers at the Raja Syamala temple.

His visit is set to come when the trade unions and opposition parties are planning to take the protests to a next level by hounding sis-in-protests across the city. The YSRCP activists are worrying whether Jagan's visit will go on smoothly amid the protests or not. Let us wait and see what happens.
