AMMA Arrest: 16 People Die Due to Verdict

Things are becoming worse in Tamil Nadu with arrest of Amma Jayalalithaas. According to reports 16 people have committed suicide or died of cardiac arrest across Tamil Nadu after the verdict delivered by the Bangalore special court
People killed themselves by trying all means. Tamil nadu police sources said three persons hanged themselves, one supporter committed suicide by self-immolation while another jumped in front of a bus while the sixth consumed poison. Ten others died of cardiac arrest after Jayalalithaa was convicted.
One of the student who studying class 12 has attempted self-immolation self and have been hospitalised with severe burns. Another ardent AIADMK supporter chopped off his little finger in Tirupur.
Other side Jayalalithaa has filed the appeal before the Karnataka High Court and sought for suspension of sentence.She has decided to seek limited relief specific to her sentence of 4 years for now. Since the sentencing was for a period more than three years, only the high court can grant bail in Jayalalithaa's case.
