Amravati JAC Leaders Met Kishan Reddy
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Feb 2020 5:40 AM GMTThe Amaravati JAC leaders have met the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and requested him to intervene in the capital row as the protests observed by the farmers of the Amaravati region has reached more than 50 days.
Kishan Reddy who heard all the doubts and concerns from the JAC leaders said that the Centre will look into this for sure reportedly. 'We will act as per law on the issue if it comes to us,' Kishan Reddy said.
Post the meeting with the leaders, Kishan Reddy spoke with the media and said the Centre will intervene in this at the right time. 'However, our party AP unit has resolved that the State Capital should remain at Amaravati,'' he said.
'Once the Centre gets an official word from State on the three capital issue, I will personally discuss it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda on holding a dialogue with the YSRC government,' he added.
Kishan Reddy went on to say that the Central government works as per the Constitution. The Minister maintained that the state government should rethink regarding the shifting of the capital and added that the AP union of the BJP is against the capital shifting.
