AP Cabinet expansion after KP
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Jun 2016 11:29 AM GMTDid AP CM Chandrababu Naidu took a final call on cabinet expansion? Indications were clear that Cabinet Expansion is likely to take place after Krishna Pushkarams.
Sources close to TDP Leadership say, Focus will be shifted to sacking of Ministers with poor performance and induction of new members into the Cabinet after shifting of AP Secretariat Employees to the New Capital. In the wake of demand from senior partymen over Nara Lokesh's induction into Cabinet, Such chances can't be ruled out as of now.
As the term of Legislative Council chairman Chakrapani lasts for one more year, Lokesh and few others will be made MLCs for making them a part of AP Cabinet. Out of total strength of 58, TDP holds 38 MLC seats. Tenure of 22 MLCs will end by March 2017. While 7 of them were in MLA quota, 2 of them in Governor quota and rest in Educated quota. As Krishna Pushkarams will end in August, Naidu might take up Cabinet Expansion in September itself.
