AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wants the proposed new capital Amaravati to be divided in eight special cities. He directed the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to develop four more Special Cities along with 'Knowledge', 'Education', 'Finance' and 'Justice'.
