Big Laders Ready To Ditch Congress

The Congress is down in the dumps in Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation.Though the High Command is trying every trick in the trade to breathe life into the party before 2019 polls, things seem be only deteriorating. It has lured senior leaders like Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy and Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy into the party and has launched a huge 'Operation Akarsh' to bring back those who had left the party in the wake of the bifurcation, things are only taking a turn for the worse.

Let alone ex-Congressmen coming back to the party, more and more leaders are leaving the party. Among them are several senior leaders.

For instance, senior Congressman and former minister Sailajanath has met TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu. Though he says it was not a political meet, the timing is unmistakable. Similarly, another senior leader from North Andhra Kondru Murali too met Chandrababu and is said to be evincing lot of interest to contest the elections from Rajam assembly constituency on a TDP ticket. Another prominent leader from North Andhra Killi Krupa Rani of Tekkali too is planning to leave the Congress. Since her entry into the TDP is being blocked by Kinjarapu Atchen Naidu and Rammohan Naidu, she is looking towards the YSRCP. She wants to contest from either Tekkali or Srikakulam. There too, there are two YSRCP leaders - Duvvada Srinivas in Srikakulam and Tilakin Tekkali blocking her entry. Even f she enters the YSRCP, she is not assured of a seat. Yet she is planning to leave the Congress as she sees no future for the party.

So, instead of luring others, the Congress is now busy keeping its flock together.
