The zones system became a hot topic in India which is not familiar with most of the citizens. The Andhra Pradesh government stepped in to clear all the airs and doubts on this.

The area around the containment zone and the places which have the possibilities to witness more number of cases will be called a buffer zone. The area that has more number of positive cases and the spread rate is high will be called Red Xone or Hot Spot.

If the percentage of the positive cases are less then the area is classified as Orange Zone. The area which didn't report positive cases for some time or reports zero positive cases then that area is called the green zone.

Earlier the areas that reported COVID-19 positive cases before the 15th of April were called Red Zones and the parameters changed with the rise of the positive cases. Now the districts that reported 80 percent of cases will be called the Red Zones.

The rez zones will be called as Orange zones if the area reports zero poistive cases for 14 consecutive days. If the Orange zone reports zero poistive cases for 14 days then the zone will be declared as a green zone.

It will take, 28 days for the Red Zone to turn as Green Zone as it is a very long process. If in a particular place four or more cases are reported then the area is declared as the Containment zone and half a kilometer area around the place is declared as the Containment zone area.
