Centre For Media Studies estimated that 2019 Elections will be remembered as the costliest elections with the expenditure touching Rs 55,000 crore-mark all over the country from Rs 9,000 crore in 1998.

In Andhra Pradesh, The expenditure for 2019 Elections is estimated to be Rs 7,000 to 9,000 crore.

In Telangana, Rs 5,000 crore were spent for 2018 Assembly Polls. Around Rs 400 crore has been invested on 16 Lok Sabha Seats in 2019 Elections.

In 2019 AP Elections, Ruling TDP and Opposition YCP competed to influence voters in various manners. Although Pawan Kalyan ordered party leaders to refrain from bribing voters, Few Candidates had spent some money fearing voters won’t even consider them if money wasn’t offered. Actually, Opponents decided how much a candidate should be spending. While Rs 40 to 50 crore were spent in Assembly Constituencies, More than 100 crore were spent in Lok Sabha Segments. Voters were offered Rs 500 to 10,000 depending on the location and competition. In constituencies like Mangalagiri and Gudiwada, So much of money is being spent by both the major parties to be on the winning side.
