X
AP Government collected a record Rs 4,507 through tax collection for the month of July 2015. Statistics shows this is the highest revenue generated month post bifurcation of United AP. Thanks to the growth in Commercial Tax!

On an average, TDP Government was able to generate a tax revenue of Rs 3,400 in the past 14 months.

In July, Rs 2,490 crore of Value Added Tax (VAT) has been recorded. Whereas, the Commercial Tax registered a growth of 15.63% percent. Both these factors helped AP emerge as the topper among all the Southern States in revenue generation. While the growth rate of Telangana and Tamil Nadu stood at 6.03% and 2.29%, Karnataka and Maharashtra managed 9.79% and 0.96% respectively.

AP Revenue Department says moderizing inter-state check posts, covering up leaks in tax collection and effectively using central monitoring system paid rich dividends. Not just Commercial Tax, Other Tax Collections including stamps and registration, mines and transport have seen growth in July. It's a very positive sign!
