Andhra Pradesh Got Best Ranks At National Level

Andhra Pradesh has bagged three national awards at the Swachh Bharat Awards-2020. The awards were given to States, Districts, Blocks and Village Panchayats today by Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The Union Government had earlier launched three missions under Swachh Sundar Samudayik Shouchalaya, Samudayik Shouchalaya Abhiyan and Gandagi Mukth Bharat. Under the Swachh Sundar Samudayik Shouchalaya category, AP bagged second rank and third rank in Samudayik Shouchalaya Abhiyan and Gandagi Mukth Bharat categories.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been instrumental in getting the awards to the state. The village secretariat system, which the state government has ambitiously brought in, has yielded good results.
Since 2014, Gandhi Jayanti has been celebrated as Swachh Bharat Day every year. In this context, the states with the best talent will be ranked on the Swachh Bharat Day.
