Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu declared the agenda of State Government is to achieve 100 percent literacy rate by 2019.

Stating that Education plays a key role in eradication of poverty and development of the country, Chandrababu Naidu admits AP's primary education isn't as good as the higher education. He opines the responsibilities is on the teachers to transform the state into a knowledge hub.

CM claims he aim is to achieve 100 percent literacy in Andhra Pradesh by 2019, which is big jump from the current literacy rate of 67 percent. He says sufficient funds were allotted for Education Section despite the cash crunch and Centre will be setting up 11 educational institutions in the state as promised during the bifurcation.

Naidu made these comments during the presentation of Best Teachers awards for 71 Teachers on the eve of Teachers Day at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds.
