Andhra Pradesh Reports 553 Fresh Cases

The positive cases of the contagious disease continue to surge in Andhra Pradesh at regular intervals. In the past 24 hours, AP reported 553 fresh infections taking the toll of the total cases in the state to 10884.
As per the health bulletin issued by the state government, as many as 19,085 samples were tested for the virus in the past 24 hours and 553 were found positive for the disease.
Out of the newly reported cases, 477 infections were of locals, while 69 other state Returnees and 7 foreign Returnees. With seven fresh casualties, total virus fatalities zoomed to 118.
On the other hand, 118 people recovered from the fatal virus in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, the total recoveries rose to 4,988. The active cases in the state stood at 5,760.
Looking at the worst-affected district in the state, Kurnool(1555), Krishna(1179), Anantapur(1080) tops the list which makes these districts as the hotspots for the spread of the virus.
