Andhra Pradesh Straightaway Reported Less Than 4,000 Covid-19 Cases
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Oct 2020 2:19 PM GMTAndhra Pradesh straightaway reported a massive dip in fresh Coronavirus infections for the second consecutive day. As many as 3676 fresh infections were reported in 24 hours.
With the latest addition of the fresh Covid-19 cases, the total cases in the state zoomed to 7,79,146 and marching towards the 7.8 lakh mark. The other day 3,967 new infections were detected.
Talking about the samples to detect the virus in the state, a total of 69,91,258 samples have been tested so far, while as many as 70881 samples were tested on Friday alone.
Fresh fatalities maintain a steady decline in the state over the past few days. The average fresh fatalities went down rapidly. The current average of new fatalities is around 30.
The media bulletin issued by the health department said, 24 patients, succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, 6406 patients have lost their lives to the virus.
In a piece of good news, the total recoveries of novel Coronavirus in the state surpassed the 7.35 lakh mark and rose to 7,35,638, including 5529 patients beating the virus in 24 hours. The active cases stood at 37102.
East Godavari reported the highest cases in 24 hours with 567 infections, followed by West Godavari(531), Chittor(473), Prakasham(348), Krishna(308), Guntur(259), and Kadapa(246).
