Andhra signs MoUs with Micromax, Celkon and Karboon

Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) three of the mobile phone manufacturers Micromax, Celkon and Karbonn . The three companies have agreed for setting up of a mobile manufacturing hub at Tirupati
The MoUs were signed Vijayawada in presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu on Tuesday night.CBN thanked all the mobile companies for agreeing to set up their units in AP. He said the move would give huge boost to electronics manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh.
"We recently had Xiaomi's entry into Andhra Pradesh. Now we have three more companies Micromax, Celkon and Karboon Mobiles. I am very confident that all these companies will create an electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the AP state," CBN said
Andhra Pradesh is targeting manufacturing of 6 million to 7 million phones per month in the next year from these units
