Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao not only have big dreams but always leaves no stone unturned to fulfill them. He took up Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project as a matter of prestige. Planning and Execution of this project has been winning laurels from everyone now. Already, Governor ESL Narasimhan, Representatives of Central Government and Few State Governments have heaped praises on KCR. Now, It's the turn of Foreigners to appreciate the good work.
British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew Fleming compared Kaleshwaram Project with UNESCO's Subak Water Irrigation System in Bali. 'UNESCO providing irrigation water to Farmers of Bali through Subak Water Irrigation System. Even Kaleshwaram Project taken up by Telangana Government will deliver wonderful results for farmers in the state,' he said.
Minister KTR quickly replied: 'Andrew, Glad you had a chance to visit Kaleshwaram & equally delighted that you see it’s potential too'.
Supreme Court dismissed the petition seeking stay order on Kaleshwaram Project. The Apex Court permitted T-Government to go ahead but maintained works in the reserve forest area must be continued only after obtaining permission from forest and tourism departments.
