Angry, but AP Govt Employees have fewer options
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Jan 2022 1:24 PM GMTThe government employees were among the biggest pillars of support for the YSRCP and its chief YS Jagan. There was a general hope that Jagan would be sympathetic to the government employees. They all hoped that their salaries would see a hike once Jagan came to power. But now, their hopes are belied.
The government employees now feel that Jagan is being very insensitive towards them. The latest PRC was a huge shocker for them. For the first ever time they are seeing a fitment, which is way too lower than the interim relief. The employees are terming this 'pay hike' as reverse PRC, where their salaries have actually come down.
The government employees now feel that they would end up getting up to Rs 4000 less salary ever month thanks to YS Jagan's jugglery. The government appears to be in no mood to address the concerns of the employees. It has already issued GOs pertaining to the PRC. Now the employees are left with no option but to take to the agitational path.
There are about 13 lakh government employees and they are now deeply upset by the government. Though they are planning to launch an agitation, they are unsure whether they would get support and sympathy from the employees. But, if sources are to be believed, they might vote against the YSRCP in the coming elections in 2024. It remains to be seen how Jagan handles their anger!!
