Another Bypoll After Nagarjunasagar?

The political circles are estimating that there could be one more bypolls in the near future. The BJP is preparing for the bypoll which could be held in the heart of north Telangana district of Karimnagar.
If sources are to be believed, the citizenship issue of TRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh is now in the high court and if the high court disqualifies him, there would be byelections to Vemulavada assembly constituency. Ramesh, son of freedom fighter and Communist veteran Ch Rajeshwara Rao has a German citizenship. This has been confirmed by the Union Home Ministry, which gave an affidavit to the Telangana High Court. The issue is likely to come up on December 16.
The Government said that prior to Covid lockdown, Ramesh has left for Germany on a German passport and confirmed that he is a German citizen. If the court delivers its verdict and says that Ramesh cannot be an MLA, then there would be a bye-election. The BJP is preparing ground to contest the bypolls if and when they are held.
