Another Case Filed On TV9

Telugu News Channel TV9, which has been in the headlines with its internal issues in recent times has landed in another controversy. According to the media reports, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad have filed a case on TV9 with Banjara Hills police station. Both organizations have alleged that the channel has hurt the feelings of crores of Hindus. Reportedly, the channel said that "those who fire the crackers during Diwali are donkeys".

Recently, TV9 has made Ad campaign for Diwali with a caption, People who fire the crackers on Diwali are donkeys and telecasted in the channel. The Ad did not go well with the Bharatiya Janatha Party, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal. BJP Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh made sensational comments on the news channel.

The organizations have asked the news channel to stop telecasting the campaign as it is hurting the Hindu believes. With no response coming from the channel side, they have approached the police.

They alleged that the channel has done this purposefully. They have hurt the feelings of the Hindus by comparing people who fire the crackers on Diwali. They have requested the police department to take all the required actions on this issue
