Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is not new to controversies. While he purposefully makes controversial statements to promote the films sometimes, controversies surround him sometimes and make him stay in the middle of the headlines. RGV is in a position now that, more than his films, his controversies get a wide range of attention.

Recently, we have seen how his much-awaited Lesbian film Ma Ishtam caught up in the controversy after the film's screening was stalled by a local court due to the pending dues issue. Ahead of the film's release, Natti Kumar shocked Ram Gopal Varma by getting a stay order on the release of the film in any format.

As another big blow to Ram Gopal Varma, a cheating case has been filed against the director reportedly. Hearing the petition filed by the petitioner, the Kukatpally Court reportedly directed the cops to file a case against the director for cheating the petitioner. As a result, a case under IPC 406, 407, and 506 sections was registered against the filmmaker.

Going into detail, one Sekhar Raju, who moved the Kukatpally court said that Ram Gopal Varma took around Rs 56 lakhs as a loan to make the Aasha Encounter film which is loosely based on the sensational Disha encounter. Despite taking the money, Ram Gopal Varma did not return the money and when the petitioner tried to demand the money, he reportedly threatened him.

Having lost his patience in the matter, he knocked on the doors of the Kukatpally Court and got a case registered against the sensational director. The cops filed a case and the investigation is on. Further details are awaited. On the other hand, Ram Gopal Varma is yet to give his take on the case.

If we draw a comparison between the two cases, both are money-related cases, and Natti Kumar and Shekhar Raju accused Ram Gopal Varma of taking money from them and not paying back the same. Coincidentally, Sekhar Raju is also believed to be a producer, who is into bankrolling small-scale projects. Two cases say that Ram Gopal Varma is having a money curse.
