Another Major Blow For Chandrababu, This Time From Rajahmundry
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Aug 2020 10:40 AM ISTHere's another shocker for the Opposition TDP in Andhra Pradesh. Another of its MLA is all set to leave the party. Adireddy Bhavani, Rajahmundry MLA, is now making swift moves to distance herself from the Telugu Desam Party. If this happens, a strong political family with ditch the sinking ship that the Telugu Desam is.
Adireddy Bhavani is from a powerful political family and her father-in-law Adireddy Appa Rao was Rajahmundry municipal chairperson and a former MLC from the YSRCP. During the Chandrababu regime, Appa Rao defected to the TDP and Bhavani was given the party ticket. She contested and won. However, her party lost badly. Ever since she has been keeping a low profile in the TDP. She is said to have warmed up to the YSRCP, which, however, is yet to forget Appa Rao's betrayal. Meanwhile, Bhavani has started targeting TDP senior leader and MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary. This is being seen as an indication that she is planning to move out of the TDP.
It remains to be seen if YS Jagan Mohan Reddy allows Bhavani into the party. The YSRCP is still upset with the way in which Appa Rao has ditched the YSRCP and joined the TDP. But, Bhavani is trying very hard to join the YSRCP. Let's see how things pan out. One thing is sure. TDP is going to end up as a loser in Rajahmundry.
