AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy who is introducing new schemes and policies to provide transparent and corruption-free administration has announced another scheme. The government has decided to regulate the illegal constructions in AP. A key decision was made in the case of illegal structures in urban areas. CM Jagan has ordered to register them for only 1 rupee. However, this applies only to the constructions made in less than two cents. But there is no clarity on the registration fee. CM has ordered the authorities to prepare rules and regulations for regulating the illegal constructions made in less than two cents.
Earlier lands were given for the poor but no registrations are made for this. The present government is planning to make registrations for those lands. Jagan has told the officers that it's better to construct independent in the allotted lands unlike just giving lands to them as the previous government did. The multi stored buildings in which the women are living currently are not maintained well, he added. To avoid this situation, the government has decided to construct independent houses.
The CM also ordered to ensure transparency in the allotment of houses and to display the list of beneficiaries of the houses in the village and ward offices. The reasons have to be explained to people whose applications were rejected. Applications will be accepted till January and 10 percent extra lands will be collected to allot lands more than the applicants. According to the survey done by the authorities, there are more than 20 eligible lakh people. Almost 20 thousand acres of land has been collected and an extra 8,000 acres will be needed reportedly
