Anupam Kher declines visa offer by Pakistan
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Feb 2016 9:52 AM GMTWe have already aware about the news of Pakistan High Commission declining visa for Bollywood actor Anupam Kher. The actor was denied visa by Pak high commission to attend the Karachi Literary Festival while 17 others were issued for the same.
The talented actor took to twitter yesterday and made sensational comments that visa was denied by Pakistan as he was a Kashmiri Pandit. Kher further added that the decision may have been influenced by his views on the intolerance issue and his support for Narendra Modi.
Now the matter has been reached to Pak high Commissioner Abdul Basit who had called up Anupam Kher. As per sources Pak high commissioner Basit personally called the actor and offered him a visa to travel to that country. But the Bollywood actor declined the offer, saying he has already offered his dates for another assignment.
Basit also tweeted, @AnupamPkher you are always welcome Sir. You are a great artiste; we respect and admire you. "
Replying to Basit, Kher said," Thank you Mr. @abasitpak1 for your call & offering me visa to visit Karachi. I appreciate it. Unfortunately i've given away those dates now."
