AP Announces Holidays For All The Educational Institutions
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 March 2020 12:12 PM GMTFollowing the widespread outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced holidays for all the educational institutions including Universities, Colleges, and Schools along with the coaching centers in the state as the deadly virus is fast spreading.
While the neighboring states like Telangana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu have closed their educational institutions fearing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, recommended by the Centre AP too joins the list to close the educational institutions.
"We are discussing the examination schedules of all classes and the SSC exams as well. Before taking any decision, we need to consider the problems that will be faced if the examinations are delayed. Keeping in mind all factors, we are trying to find a mid-way solution, and will come to a conclusion at the earliest," managing director (MD) of Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) Vijay Rama Raju V said.
Earlier the GITAM university and Damodaram Sanjeevaiah National Law University (DSNLU) have declared holidays till March 31 in the wake of the COVID-19. Andhra University also directed its concerned officials to not hold workshops and seminars in the university fearing the deadly virus.
