The ongoing verbal battle between YSRCP Rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju and other leaders in the party has stirred controversy.

Raghurama Krisnam Raju on Monday challenged the AP government to go for a fresh ballot to see if the decentralisation idea has public support.

Raju challenged the Jagan government to take up a referendum. And, he said that he will quit politics if the public verdict goes against the Amaravati city. If the people are in favour with the capital city at Amaravati, the Lok Sabha MP asked Jagan to dissolve the government and go for fresh elections.

AP Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitharam responded to MP's challenge and said that the YSRCP government is ready to seek a fresh vote on Amaravati as a referendum.
