AP Cabinet approves Kapu Reservation

TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu promised reservations for Kapus during 2014 Election Campaign. Three-and-a-half-years after forming the government, AP Cabinet approved Kapu Reservation.
In Today's cabinet meeting, A decision was taken to offer 5 percent reservations to Kapu, Telaga, Balija and Ontari Communities. Cabinet will formed the resolution recommending reservations for Kapus.
Kapu crusader Mudragada Padmanabham set December 6th deadline for TDP Government to fulfill the poll promise. Government took a crucial decision before it's too late.
MLA Thota Thrimurthulu said: 'Chandrababu Naidu fulfilled the promise he made to the Kapus. Manjunatha Committee report will be discussed in Assembly tomorrow'.
YCP MLA Jyothula Nehru who shifted to TDP told: 'Very happy to see the dream of Kapus getting fulfilled. No injustice will be done to the BCs. We are happy with the Manjunatha Committee report'.
On the other hand, AP Cabinet passed a resolution including Valmiki & Boya communities in Scheduled Castes.
